Summertime League renamed in regional gamer’s honour

Everyone at the Dundalk Snooker League was surprised to come across the abrupt passing away of Peadar Callan recently, a gentleman and buddy to every person in the Commercial Club.

As a mark of respect, The Industrial Club Summer Snooker Organization has actually been renamed the Peadar Callan Summer Snooker Organization with the prize relabelled the Peadar Callan Memorial Trophy.

A minute’s silence was held prior to every one of last week’s matches where JJ McArdle’s group recorded a 3– 1 gain Alan Thompson’s team after a terrific game of snooker.

Stephen O’Hanlon’s group kept up their excellent run of type by beating Paddy Hayes’ group 3– 1 with Dominic O’Connor sinking a fantastic black in the decider.

In the final suit of the week, Mickey Ralph’s group continue to be top of the organization after an exceptional 3– 1 sway Brendan O’Hanlon’s group.

The final of the swimming pool competition was also played last week with Justin McArdle facing his old colleague James Coburn in a terrific advertisement for the regional swimming pool scene. After it was all said and done, it was James that won the final on a scoreline of 6– 4
